The tool automatically adapts to any face and allows you to literally "push" the element perfectly into place.
Smart Inferencing: The orientation circle flawlessly adapts to face normals in real-time—no matter how deeply nested the face is within sub-components or what angle it's tilted at.
X-Ray Mode for Perfect Clarity: Press the SHIFT key to lock the axis direction, and your 3D model instantly becomes transparent (X-Ray mode). Your fastener turns bright green, allowing for surgically precise depth placement inside blind holes.
Automatic Axis Centering: Have a screw model where the origin isn't centered? No problem. Upon activation, the Fastener Placer automatically moves the origin of the selected element exactly to the center of its bounding box.
Full Compatibility: The tool works with both Components and basic Groups. It’s the perfect addition for users creating their own models or utilizing the MoGrOv Metric and Imperial plugins.
Designed for a seamless workflow:
Select the element: Select a component or group (e.g., a screw) and click the tool icon.
Define the axis: Hover your mouse over a face or hole. Hold the SHIFT key to lock the direction. Then click, hold, and drag the mouse to define the insertion axis.
Define the grab point: Click a point on the screw (e.g., just under the head) to define where you want to "grab" it.
Place it: Simply slide your mouse along the axis to the desired target face and click for the final placement.
